‘A trip to the Universe with ASOBI SEKSU’
Introducing NORDINARY ORDER /////
A pop-up store project at Brick Lane, London
A serie of an interview illustrates the concept of a project ‘City Soundtrack’. The project while graduating my MA in Design and Critical practice(Goldsmiths, University of London). I wants to explore the idea of the relationship between space and music and how music can define space and community can sprung out of that relationship. ‘City Soundtrack’ is an iPhone application that provide a virtual platform by using music as a social link, combine everyone together as a community.

Where is your tune?
‘Remember that those first few people
started with belief in music as community.
Music should open to all … and encourage community’

The City Soundtrack
Beside the visual perception, what other perception can we use to identify the space? Sense of hearing is another key to define the space by not seeing. Community doesn’t have to be defined by geographical similarities. As well as space, it can be define by culture, and in this case, a choice of music.
‘The City Soundtrack’ is the application that allows users to create their own music playlist tagged with actual space and upload their favorite track onto the virtual playlist. Also users can browse or search for playlists by a map, names of each place or a name of a track to become a member of that playlist. The network can grow wider when more users join the playlist and interact across the community. Users can follow difference playlist from difference spaces. ‘The City Soundtrack’ can bring people who share the same taste of music together and interact for making a better community.
